About Us

"Three Ladies in the Garden" is an exciting venture formed by three ladies, Ladybug Pat, Ladybug Heidi, and Ladybug Marguerite. All of which are extremely passionate about nature and the beauty and peace that it bestows upon us.
Marguerite is our common denominator, she has purchased plants from both Pat and Heidi for years for her own personal gardens and they have purchased her artwork. One day it dawned on Marguerite that the public could benefit from the three of us joining forces.
Hence; the birth of "Three Ladies in the Garden". An incredible website to shop for top quality plants and artwork.
About the Owner
Ladybug Pat Ross, Ladybug Heidi Fysh, and Ladybug Marguerite McKim are the owners of "Three Ladies in the Garden".
Ladybug Pat Ross was born and raised in Gonzales, Texas, but has resided in Austin, Texas for a number of years. Pat's Mother was an avid gardener growing anything from vegetables to flowers. Pat wanted her own garden so at the age of six she turned her sandbox into a garden of cotton and flowers.
In 1971 Pat married, Larry, her best friend and partner in crime. Their children have always been cats, every stray cat knows exactly where to go for free loving and food!
Pat has always been an entrepreneur, from 1989 to 2007 she owned a craft business and both Pat and Larry did the craft show circuit. Growing plants has always remained a big part of Pat's life so in 2003 they created a new business called "The Blooming Idiots". In 2004, The Austin Chronicle awarded them with an award for "The Best Reason to get up Early on Saturday" to visit "The Blooming Idiots" at the Farmer's Market. You will always find Pat and Larry every year at the Zilker Garden Fest and most Saturdays at the Sunset Valley Farmer's Market and, of course, you can always make an appointment and buy directly from Pat's home in South Austin, Texas!
In 2008 Pat designed and orchestrated the planting of a butterfly garden at her neighborhood park, Williamson Creek Central Green Belt, located at South 1st Street and Emerald Wood in Austin, Texas.
Pat specializes in plants for gardens whether they are in the shade and/or the sun. She has a wide variety of native plants, as well as, tropicals and beautiful hanging baskets. She has a wealth of knowledge for all of your planting needs.
You may contact Pat with any questions or to make an appointment at (512) 444-2907 or email her at ladybugpat@threeladiesinthegarden.com.
Ladybug Heidi Fysh is also known as "The Canna Queen". Heidi has worked hard with her husband and two children to create an incredible company of growing some the most rare bulbs, roots, and plants in the world. She specializes in Cannas, Daylillies, Crinums, Spiderlilys, Amaryllas, Butterfly Plants, Cashmere Plants, Elephant Ears, and Louisiana Iris.
All of the plants that are sold by Heidi are full grown, never small or seedlings. Her plants are not sheltered in greenhouses, but grown out in the open. Therefore; her plants can survive a freeze in the Winter, survive droughts and can survive in temperatures over 100 in the Summer months.
So, if you are looking for low maintenance perenials and bulbs that on the average will multiply eight or more offspring per year then you have found one of the best kept secrets in Texas!
